Visiting the Practice

Following the lifting of most COVID-19 restrictions starting from 19th July 2021, whilst infection rates remain high – and to help minimise the risk of infection. We want to let you know what this means for you and your pets.

Since the first lockdown, we’ve asked you to hand over your pets at the doors of our clinic and, in order to keep you, your pets and our teams safe, we will continue with this policy until further notice.

Our vets and nurses want nothing more than to welcome pet owners back into our practice.  However, with pet ownership soaring by almost 50% and the resulting unprecedented pressure on vet practices, there simply aren’t enough vets and nurses to meet the increase in demand.

As such, it’s really important we do everything we can to protect our staff from being exposed to Covid and to minimise the risk of them being instructed to self-isolate. If one person inadvertently enters our clinic with asymptomatic Covid, it could cause our entire team to have to quarantine for 10 days and would almost certainly result in us having to close the clinic temporarily.

We hope you understand our reasons for taking such a difficult decision. Our first priority is your pets and ensuring all pet owners continue to have a service that’s accessible.  We’re all keen to get back to normal and will review this policy regularly but, in the meantime, thank you for bearing with us.
